G&G Dolly Black Circle Lens Review (Pinky Paradise)

G&G DOLLY BLACK LENS REVIEW

(FROM PINKY PARADISE ONLINE LENS STORE)

Hey there, cuties! Today I will be doing my first official lens review! I will be reviewing G&G Dolly Black lenses that I purchased from PinkyParadise with a focus on how the lenses look on light eyes.

LENS FACTS:

BUYING, SHIPPING, PREPARING:

They are 14.5 mm lenses, which makes your eyes look nice and big! They have a high water content (38%) to help prevent them from drying out and becoming uncomfortable. They are also available in a prescription of up to -10.00 and in the colour brown!

I made my order on April 1st and the package arrived in my mailbox by the 7th. I was amazed at how fast the shipping was! The vials were wrapped twice in bubble wrap and were shipped in a bubble-wrap envelope, so everything was nice and safe. I have it flipped over in the picture to hide my address!

Because I bought three sets of lenses at once, so they gave me three free animal lense cases (one for each pair)! They're super cute and matched the colours of the lenses that I bought!

I also used a coupon code for a free mystery gift (just use "robo-neko" at the checkout), so I received Deck out Women crystal eyelid patches (to reduce dark circles and puffiness) and Dariya velcro hair grips (to help keep your bangs out of your face when you're washing up, doing make-up, putting lenses in, etc.).

You can see everything below and I've circled the lenses I'll be reviewing:

I was very eager to wear them straight away, but it's important to remove your lenses from the vials and soak them in clean saline solution for at least eight hours before you wear them. If you're new to circle lenses, you can read more about them in the New User Guide and in this Wear and Care Guide. You should make sure to read both of those before beginning to wear circle lenses! Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Here's a picture of them soaking in the animal lens case I got for free from PinkyParadise

WEARING:

After the wait was over, I put them in my eyes and took a picture with one lense in and one lense out so that you can see the size difference:

Even with indoor lighting and low resolution, these lenses make a huge difference!

Here they are in higher resolution:

The really cool thing I want to point out about these lenses is their unique colouring. The Dolly Black lenses only have an outer rim of black that gets transparent coming inward. This produces a doll-like enlarging effect while allowing you to keep your own eye colour! For a person with light eyes, this is fabulous! It produces a wonderful effect with the dark black of the rims and the gray of my eyes.

In addition to the wonderful enlarging effect, these lenses are very comfortable. Most of the time, I completely forget that I'm even wearing them! Every now and then I do put some drops of saline solution in my eyes to keep them nice and wet, but most of the time it's not an issue.

Another nice thing about these is that your eyes are a natural colour, making these lenses versatile! They have a dramatic enlarging effect which you can use for cosplay or Lolita fashion, but are a natural colour making them suitable for wearing to most jobs or to school without turning too many heads. Since they are only black, they will also go well with almost any wig or make-up you choose to wear.

THE VERDICT:

Comfort: 4/5
Colour Intensity: 5/5
Enlargement: 5/5
Overall: 4.5/5

 ACTION SHOTS:

CONCLUSION:

These are beautiful and comfortable lenses that I highly recommend to anyone who is going for a doe-eyed or dolly look. This, combined with the fast shipping, easy-to-navigate website, and the wonderful customer service from PinkyParadise made my most recent circle shopping a delight! Plus, they accept PayPal!

I highly recommend PinkyParadise and the G&G Dolly Black lenses.

I hope that you all found this review to be helpful and informative! I'm always looking for constructive criticism and suggestions on what to do in the future, so feel free to message me with any thoughts, requests, or advice you may have!

Don't forget to use the code "robo-neko" at the checkout for a free mystery gift like the ones I mentioned in my review!

Introduction

Hi hi!

I'm starting this blog as a place to hold the lense and make-up reviews I plan on doing in the future! Once I get a better camera, I also plan on doing filmed reviews for YouTube, but that's a ways away. For now, I'll just stick with this blog as a way of having a more permanent place for reviews. Tumblr's great, but it's so easy for them to get buried.

You can also find me on:

Anyway, that's all for now!
